I have renter's insurance through state farm.
I also have car insurance through state farm.
I get a discount for multiple coverage.

And I take it you like them? A lot of people are with who the're with for insurance because it's just who they've always been with.

I like them. I've been in an accident before (hydroplaned and totaled my first car ever), I was so glad I had them. They took care of EVERYTHING no hassle and I made money off the thing. Despite not having a title yet, they still gave me a check to help me buy a new car.

Cool. Anyway, I found 30k in coverage for $118, and it covers both of us (which I guess a lot of policies don't do!) and it starts a minute after midnight on the 31st.

My renter's insurance is $112 every six months. Totally affordable, but it doesn't cover burglary.
And it's through AllState.

Honestly, from what I've seen, that seems high. Do you have a crazy amount of coverage?

it covers any kind of natural disaster. Like if i get water damage from a leak i can file a claim or if something flies through my window and breaks it.
I wasn't able to find ANY company (in my area) that offered burglary. And basically the only reason I want coverage is so that if my nintendo gets stolen i'd get reimbursed.
Come to think of it maybe i'll just cancel it....

and incidentally my mom just bought a new battery off ebay for her gateway laptop. She paid a mere $60.
