That sucks about Your Mom.
And I must say, although slightly biased, Toyotas are amazing, dependable cars. And I had a friend that had an '01 Corolla with 216,000 miles. Still running smooth despite only having the oil changed three times.
Good choice.

Yeah, and it turns out I'm going to need a new car for sure now.

I went and drove the Corolla in question tonight. I may have some leverage to get the price down because the last driver was a smoker (and you can tell...) and there were a few minor things I found wrong that they've already agreed to fix if I do buy.

I'm more concerned about how much I can get for my car for parts from a salvage yard, since that's most likely how I'll get rid of that.
