Fair enough, but don't think for a second that it may not be necessary. I know Big Boss better than anyone else; if it was up to him, he'd choose death over living like an invalid. Monster, too. He hates that stuff; he's terrified to death of the supernatural.

Sometimes you can't really ask for permission, now can you? It's something that's mutually understood between us anyway; I'd expect him to do the same for me if I needed it.

How do you know it's mutually understood? Did he tell you?
