toilet troubles

Plumbing-related things are the worst, in my book. Water just wants to go where it wants to go, despite our best efforts! :) We have a toilet with a slow leak as well, so it does the occasional top-off too. Pretty sure it's the flapper, though, I think I have a spare lying around somewhere.

What a saga! Who knew that a toilet could be such a sneak and devious foe? I suppose it's the shit-eating job it fulfills- har har!

I'm having toilet woes right now, actually. We need to replace the seat as the lid's hinge broke. Our landlord bought a new one, but alas - apparently toilets come in different shapes and sizes, and it was not a match! Back to the drawing board...

I'm also experiencing vacuum woes. I figured out the problem but have not yet found the solution. I'll crack it, tho!

Hope you get some sunshine and warm breezes soon!

I hope your fix works! Toilet problems are a pain. We have recently had both of our toilets replaced. Our house is pretty old and the guts of them just wore out and so they weren't flushing properly and they looked disastrous. I would wake up in the night to hear them running, no matter that we had just replaced the parts and pieces. I have happy with our new toilets and consider it money well spent.
