Why is everything falling apart?

We seem to be going through a slew of equipment failure, from reasonably cheap things, like our little Espresso maker, to the printer (not quite so cheap), various aquarium equipment, and today our heat pump

It's the way the universe has of ganging up on one person--or one family--from time to time. But it will get better--good luck comes in multiples, too.

Here's hoping the repairs are easy and inexpensive!

It never rains but it pours, as my Gran used to say.

I shall keep my fingers crossed about the heat pump and wish for the best. If it's only two years old shouldn't there still be a warranty on it?

The full warranty is only a year, unfortunately, though some of the parts are covered longer. The labor is a different story.
