That's a tree with character! And after 7 years he has a lot to tell the others outside... :-) A very lovely and gemütlich corner to celebrate Christmas. I hope all went well with your Silesian preparations.
You are right about it having character! :) And I think in a year or two, he'll have to be planted in the garden, as it was very hard to get it inside!
The Silesian meal turned out very well, and I can't wait for lunch time today, to have another helping. *g*
Merry Christmas to you and your family, too! I hope your dad feels better!
Yes my dad feels a bit better. (Er wird mit Astronautenkost aufgepäppelt)
But tell me - do you use real candles together with electrical lights? And our tree looks similar. We also use straw stars and red bowls/balls/ornaments(?)... you know what I mean... :-)
And no, lighting real candles on a Christmas tree is against the law here, because of the fire danger, but we put them up as decoration, anyhow.
I remember lighting real candles on the tree in Germany, when I was little, but one year the tree fell over, and that was then end of that! We kept putting them up, though, and as a real holiday traditionalist, I do it here, too. :)

It started out as a tiny little 2 1/2 foot tree, but is now almost too heavy for us to lug inside! :)
