So, by popular (gin and Neko asked) demand, I'm going to write about prom. I'll do the usual list thing so I can organize my thoughts. This is most likely (who am I kidding? is) going to be long and very detailed, so feel free to skip or skim as the mood takes you.

Somewhere at the end of this little interlude I learned that standing on dirt in high heels turns the dirt into evil quicksand.
We had a fire on the levee over Mardi Gras, and one of my friends put it this way:
"I can totally walk across this COMPLETELY SOLID GROUND, with the help of my magic walking stick! OH GOD, it's EATING my magic walking stick! AND MY SHOE!"

I lol'd.
