Update on the Situation
Mary has been installed in the Orkney Cottage for the time being. Gaheris has given up his bed, owing as at the moment he has no one to share it with, and she sleeps a lot. It's been taking her a little while to get her strength back, so she really hasn't bothered to get out of bed for a considerable time ( Read more... ) -

Babi has been sort of attached to Mary for quite some time now, or at least that is her understanding, since he keeps plaguing her for his supper and all his other meals, including libations. Mary is exhausted. The week has been spent in America, of all places, climbing mountains, of all things, and without Peredur having lent her sensible clothes she fancies she would probably have killed herself by now tripping on her dresses--at any rate, she's climbed mountains ( Read more... ) -
the sign of the crackplot
She's almost surprised that she gets halfway to her room before her knees start to feel too funny and she sits down on a couch to steady herself. Once her feet aren't holding everything up it all comes down, and she puts her face in her hands and cries very softly. Her hair still isn't pinned. -

Mary is sitting quietly inside her rooms, putting up her hair. She has serious business to discuss with her husband, and such business might be aided by the presence of the person about whom it is.

Mary is dusting the Mansion, her long chestnut hair bound up in a scarf, and an apron over her long dress. She does this periodically, when she gets tired of reading and walking. -
