i feel like catching my breath, the sky is clearing, i swear it,
i hear from my window the sound of wet tires and exhaust,

he calls me out on something i never said and that becomes the end of things. he calls me and we yell and i walk in the rain very late until i am soaked through. there is no resolution. just a hollow.

this morning is so lovely with heavy grey clouds,
the sound of cars furrowing through puddles,
the train grinding on the tracks and quiet everywhere inside.
one single candle, white and vanilla smells like home.
