I've been reading up the Wki entry for Potc: At World's End and came across this

Apparently this particular explanation that if Elizabeth would be there for him after ten years of service, Will would be free was cut out of the film.

I didn't see it that way when I watched the film, but I read it somewhere later. To be honest, I'd rather it weren't that way because I really liked the unhappy ending. ;-) *is evil*

And yes, Captain Will was hot!

Well when I first saw the movie I was really sad about the ending because I thought he was doomed to always be captain of the Flying Dutchman but, then I came home and found the statements made by the writers and now I belive that the curse was lifted and Yummy Captain Will is free to be with his family and that makes me so happy.

That was the way I saw it (of course, I've seen the end scene about 50 times and I've only seen the movie twice...'s what I get for working at a movie theatre...I get lots of time to analyze these things)

That would make a lot of sense now....and yes I was WAY too busy looking at the hotness of Will! *evil smirk*
