This was elegant and skillfully crafted. You write with such depth and precision. I really liked the glimpse into who Jolinar was before the day and half she spent with Sam. The scene of her emerging into that first host's body...wow. Very cool. There are so many visions of Sam and Jack's future together, but this rings very true. Well done, I enjoyed every word!

This is a study that rings true of how two people who are never going to be entirely comfortable or at rest in their own skins can jury-rig something together that works and strengthens, while never being safe, static, or at rest. It is the peace of warriors, who carry the war with them through life, whether they want it or (we presume) not.
