There was a lot of "Swallows and Amazons" fic in Yuletide! If doushkasmum knows anything about B7, she MUST read Vilakins' wonderful "Rebels and Amagons" which is not in Yuletide but appeared just afterwards.

Ooh, thanks. It's too long to finish now, but the first chunk made me save it to the PDA and I shall finish it tomorrow. VERY cute crack, and a surprisingly good fit.

I've just finished reading your story 'Five Years After', and just wanted to say that it's delightful. One of the pleasures of 'Venetia' is that sharp bitter-sweetness, which I think you got just right for Aubrey. I'm glad that Venetia appears to have gotten her orgy - in Venice, too!

Thank you! I'm glad it worked for you. And glad you noticed the offstage orge *G*. I always thought that line was the most romantic in the whole book, srsly.

Glad to know I'm such a positive influence in your life!

And despite being a humourless feminist, I'm more than happy for toilet lids to be put down for the protection of kittens, although since you have male kittens, I think you should train them to put the seat down themselves.

Hrm. Mac is the clumsiest kitten I have ever met, but has enough focus that if I made it interesting he would learn. Tib is agile enough that if he ever got over his ADD he'd have no trouble, if he could be bothered.

So, for the same reasons as human men then, I doubt they'll be putting down the seat down anytime soon.

Thanks for the recs. I did indeed love all of them. Particularly your Aubrey.

I don't entirely get this fic thing. I get that it's fandom for geeks. It's just not something that I am at all inclined to do. So it leaves me a little bemused.

But it was a nice Moon is a Harsh Mistress story. Which I read at about the age you are supposed to read Heinlein and am struck about how much of it I remember.
