Since this is floating all over the internet, I may as well join in. It's a great little article on How to Kill a Shelter Dog. The statistics on how many dogs go into the shelter system in the states are horrifying...and most of them make it out in a garbage back...so sad...

The Story Of Stuff. It's a great movie, I highly reccommend it. I watched in two sittings because it's pretty long, but it's worth it.
If you only watch one part, watch the consumption chapter - it's the one that has the most to do with us (consumers). But the whole thing is really scary and interesting.
