Trying to learn spirituality with only the world of formalized religion as your guide
is kinda like learning film editing solely from the scraps upon a cutting room floor.

This is when you blindfold yourself and listen from within.

Last time I did that the voice within just told me to get a lot of beer.

I can't tell if my spirituality is awesome or lame. :(

Or like a blind man describing an elephant after examining ONLY the tail.

I used this exact metaphor today when discussing Christianity with a friend. So many folks do this. :) GMTA!

Hmmm kinda of like calling Atheism a religion is like calling bald a hair color, but I figure this is my simple religion. There is no need for grand churches, temples or buildings no need for complicated philosophy, doctrine or dogma. Our own brain, our own heart is our sanctuary and the philosophy is kindness.

Formalized religion is like a cheap peep-show where what you see is fleeting, obscured, incomplete . . . and, of course, money talks. Religion gets in the way, and you have to pay in some form, for "salvation"

Spirituality is the real thing. Don't let these self-righteous bastards delude you or scam you out of your hard-earned pay.

Yeah, religions are made by humans, thus they are flawed. They're organized to dominate. That's why I've rejected all of them. I only rely on spirituality and common sense: I'm deist, and close to animism. Personal choice. And fuck all fundamentalists and puritans.
