I Envy Christians

Who thought I'd ever say that but I do. When Christians have a run of bad luck all they have to do is believe God has a plan and it will get better. I envy that kind of faith (even if I find it completely unrational). They truly believe that if they have faith some spiritual being will look out for them. In a way it's like they can't make a mistake ( Read more... )

i was thinking about like half the shit you just said in the shower tonight then i came online and read that and it was really strange. now if you had said that you watched the exorcism of emily rose before you made your religious rant then it would be even stranger.

I don't really like horror movies. There are a few exceptions but not many. I just could never really get into them.

Everything Christians do isn't right! That's absurd, I'm a Christian and I've done a lot of "wrong" things but the idea is that if you want and ask for God's forgiveness his mercy will be granted to you. Annnnnd you don't have to be a Christian to be optimistic, I believe that is what you're really talking about here. I'm an optimist because there's no sense in always looking at the downside when just a little farther there's an up side, and i had that point of view long before I became a Christian. And yes as to scientology "fuck that shit" haha and you're not missing anything spectacular with Emily Rose. It was mostly in the court room.... snoooore, but I do miss you!
ps sorry for this almost equally long response to your post

Yea there are plenty of times I'm wrong. I can admit it. It mainly has to do with the fact that I don't really try to understand as I said. For some reason the Christian community is one of the first thing I like to bash when depressed. Don't know why. Besides after rereading the entry I realize that I got away from my main point. Again I don't remember the point, maybe that's how I got lost. Also I figured as much about the Emily Rose movie. I guess we're both good at putting long comments down.
