I wrote this as a response to four pages of comments and an op-ed article written in my school newspaper.  The article was written by one of my few good gay friends on campus.  The comments were incredibly heated, often insulting, and generally made me ashamed of the people I go to school with, no matter which side was posting.  The use of foul ( Read more... )

We had a conversation about facebook in my Medical Sociology class today.  It was random and unrelated to the current topic.  But still, facebook.

I love Sociology.

I'm just not sure why I see so many people I know from Florida raising the red flag about Prop 8 in California, yet none of them are even mentioning the fact that out own state is proposing an amendment to our constitution that would ban gay marriage.  I don't get it ( Read more... )
