6,000 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables a year...
On 1/5th of an acre in Pasadena.

I think I need to look more in depth at some of their ideas.  I'd like to produce a ton of food a year, at least.

That is a very, very cool thing. I'd love to follow suit, though even 1000 lbs. sounds like a pretty decent first goal, and more like what I'm going to go for.

I drove by there last night. It looks very full of plants. There's corn growing next to the power pole on the front of the property, and flowers in the median owned by the city. I want to talk to them.

Rabbit, chickens, both look like a good idea.
