apparently cold cloudy misty days remind me of my honeymoon... not exactly typical i guess

why do i have such a hard time doing this job? why do i have this deep seated desire to be different and unique and extraordinary so that when i do something for a job that is very mundane, i just feel so disturbed? should this be enough for me? should i be able to be content doing something that feels so pointless?

so... i left church early today. johnny wasn't with me because he had to work today, so i didn't feel like i had to stay through all the crap. first, not once during the service did they even mention haiti. no fund raising. nothing. and not only did they not mention it, but the sermon was a TOTAL health and wealth message. if you love God, and fast ( Read more... )

is it strange that i feel like marriage so far has been more about having fun than "romance"?

Johnny's granddad is in the hospital. Yesterday he was peeing quite a bit of blood, and when he went in, they found a large mass in his kidney. They are scheduling surgery to remove the kidney. They don't know if it is cancerous yet and will test it after the surgery. Please pray for granddad and the family right now. He has had pretty bad dementia ( Read more... )

how intensely i miss florida right now. it's not that it's even that cold here in kentucky. and i don't feel particularly depressed, because i make sure to take my keep-happy-in-the-winter vitamins. it's not overcast all the time here, like it would be in chicago. and that's good. it's snowed a few times, just a dusting really. that i do miss. my grandfather died yesterday. my dad's dad. i am sad, but more so for my grandmother and father and his siblings than anything else. Grandpa had a stroke which brought him to the hospital, and they decided to put in a pacemaker, which they did, and he was cheerful and hopeful and doing fine. but yesterday morning he got a blood clot in his lung, ( Read more... )
