so, i'm applying to starbucks, and at this point am really annoyed with this whole application thing. one of the questions reads:

"what do you like about coffee?"

really? i like absolutely nothing about coffee... but could i write that?

i listen to the hum of the razor as johnny trims away the stubble
leaving the long patch of chin hair that

the baby likes to hang from as he leans back
to take a look at the big face that's kissing him

squinting when he bobbles his head in too close and it tickles his nose
and nuzzling in when he feels like it

first of all, i would like to say that i have been more ecstatic about pooping lately than i have ever been in my life! the birth control i was on was horrible in that it made me constipated all the time and i had to take magnesium every night just to be able to go at all. and that doesn't include the headaches and nausea and other stuff. a couple ( Read more... )

On Sunday night, July 19, I got baptized in the holy spirit here in Murray and was prayed over to receive the gift of tongues. I have absolutely no doubt that I truly spoke in tongues.

buttercups have to be the most cheery looking flowers i know.

they are so small and yet so bright, always reaching up toward the sun with wide open petals, looking quite happy just to be there.

a friend of johnny's had a sudden death in the family. sudden, jarring, the kind that slams into you with no way to know it's coming. he got married not too long before we did this winter. his wife's mother and sister were in a car accident this sunday. her sister died, and her mother was in a bad state last time we heard. we don't know any details ( Read more... )
