Silent Hill Albuquerque
Recently I've been reminded of Silent Hill in the evening because of all the ash in the air. It blots out being able to see parts of the city. At around 7 today I couldn't even tell what direction the sun was in. -
well, that was quick
After only 13 days of unemployment I have a job again. It all happened pretty quickly. On Thursday at about 4:52pm I got call asking if I'd like to start work at 8am the next day. I said "yes". general life update
Work has been busy lately. We're finishing up our current and only contract within the next month. After that my employment future is really uncertain. If no new money comes in soon my managers are convinced that the whole office will be shut down and we'll all get laid off. Bodies and The Tech Museum
While I was in San Jose last week a group of us decided to spend an afternoon at the Tech Museum. I'd gone there last year when the rotating exhibit was something to do with Star Trek, but I decided to skip that part of the museum that year. FC report
We decided to arrive at FC on Wednesday to make sure we wouldn't miss a day due to delays, like the last few cons we flew to. The con started off a bit slow, so we may decide to arrive on Thursday next year.

It's been a busy week
Last week on Tuesday (the 23rd) I ended up taking zippiner to the hospital for massive pain she was experiencing. It turned out to be her gallbladder which was removed the following day. Luckily we made it out of the hospital on Thanksgiving day in time to go to dinner. I spent the rest of the weekend helping her recover from the surgery ( Read more... ) -
Fur Fright report
I spent Halloween weekend up in Connecticut going to Fur Fright. This was my first year going and I had a very good experience. Here's my thoughts on the con.

Recent travel
Me and zippiner spent about two weeks out of town recently from the 2nd to the 17th. First we drove out to MFM. Then I flew from Memphis to upstate New York for a business trip while zippiner stayed with her mother. Then I flew back into Memphis and joined zippiner for a week.
