OMG. The pics of the collapse of the bridge in Minneapolis don't do it justice. It's mind blowing. The bridge is a main throughfare in the cities and Minneapolis. I'm shaking. It's horrible, and the impact is going to be big time around here for years to come (they're talking at least 2 years for a new bridge), but it could have been much, much worse. Not that bumper to bumper rush hour/Twins traffic is good or anything, but still.

But I must say that although it's bad, the national media has kinda sensationalized it a tad. I was flipping between local and national and it was night and day. But it's still bad. It's going to have an impact for years around here. But like I said, it could be worse...

Yea, it's not that far from my place, and the way I go if I'm going to my parents from work. It sucks, but I'm amazed that with the amount of traffic on that thing that the death toll is that small. Granted, it shouldn't have happened in the first place!
