And I don't know if I'll come back to this place, since it's been about two years since my last post. I kind of quit Facebook a couple of months ago, and few if any people know my twitter handle, so I guess this is mainly a post to say "I'm still here!" if anyone cares.

So holy crap, we just bought a condo. Well, we came to an agreement with the seller. Still have to get an inspection, bank assessment, all that other unsexy stuff. Closing isn't until the end of March, but assuming everything goes well, we'll be homeowners - like, with a mortgage - by the beginning of April. tragedy
I haven't posted in awhile, mainly because I've been busy and haven't had a reason to, but now unfortunately I do.

I need AutoCAD software for one of my classes next semester, and despite my attempts at finding a cheap (erm, free) alternative to buying the software, it seems I'll have to do this by the book. This LA Times article is sort of terrifying.
You can't say you're not a racist, and then deliberately not vote for Obama (or anyone, for that matter) simply because he's bi-racial.
The part that really got to me was this:

Alex and I are all moved in. It took about 12 hours from when the U-Haul was picked up in Boston until the last box was brought upstairs here in Brooklyn (17' truck + 3rd floor apartment with no elevator = my legs still hurt). One of my psych professors got me into this game. You don't have to download anything, it's free, and has social aspects to it. I just like the idea that you work your way through different ages of human civilization, and each time you do it, your character can turn out different. /end shameless plug/

Bedbugs on the go
A little FYI to those of you in Brooklyn, in case you hadn't heard already... apparently bedbugs are now on the subway. Those things give me the creeps in a whole new way. Blech.
