[ Ch 1] [ Ch 2][Ch 3] [ Ch 4]

As soon as Yesung left through the door Kibum rushed to the kitchen. He skidded on the tile, only keeping himself from falling because he gripped the counter top. He pulled the spice rack off its hangings, frantically pulling out all the bottles. He finally found the small bottle containing all the keys only to find a small lock on the outside. Damn Teukie and his paranoid umma nature. He quickly opened the utensils drawer and pulled out a small sharp knife. He saw Heechul doing this when he had locked himself out of his room once so he figured it wouldn't be too bad.

The knife entered the small lock and he jingled it a bit, fingers shaky and clumsy. He pulled back too hard and the knife penetrated the skin on his palm. He dropped the glass bottle and held his hand in pain. The bottle broke sending small shards of glass and copper keys all over the counter top. Kibum felt so stupid at that moment that he face palmed himself, only remembering afterwards that he had just cut his palm open. He hissed in pain and looked for the key to Yesung's room. He spotted the key that had a Y and R in pink sharpie and quickly scooped it in his uninjured hand, grimacing when he felt the shards of glass he also managed to pick up.

He forgot about that quickly as he ran back to the room at the end of the hall way. His hands were slick with sweat and blood causing him to miss the key hole multiple times. When the key finally went in he turned the lock and attempted to open the door. The door knob was slippery by now so he had to grip it with his shirt, staining the grey material with specks of red. The knob finally turned and Kibum pushed the door open slowly.

---

Donghae was now lifelessly staring up at the ceiling. The banging had stopped. Kibum had left him there.

He felt his lip quivering and proceeded to bite it down. His anger at Kibum had started evaporating when he finally made sense of what was going on. Kibum was the one that was being hit on, so it was Yesung's fault. Still, the guilty look on Kibum's face was haunting him whenever he closed his eyes. Why had he looked so guilty? Had he actually cheated--?

NO! Donghae wouldn't let himself think that his Bummie would ever do something like this to him. But still, the eerie silence of the hall was deafening to him. Why had Kibum left him if he hadn't done anything? He should be breaking the door down, begging him through the door, at least still banging on it. It was something that Kibum did when he wanted to prove something; he just kept pestering to the point where he got annoying and irrational. It was when he tended to do stupid things, like the time that Donghae had gotten mad at him during a tour.

They were in the hotel and Donghae when to Eunhyuk and Siwon's room next door because Kibum had gotten him mad. They didn't answer any of Kibum's calls nor his knocks on the door, so Kibum had jumped from the balcony of their room to the balcony of the room next door. Needless to say they were all shocked beyond words when they saw him knocking on the glass doors that led to the balcony.

Now there was nothing. Did he really do something that would make him not want to insist that he was innocent? Donghae felt the tears pricking at the back of his eyes. He let out a sigh, attempting to hold back the sobs when he heard the doorknob jingle. He sat up in bed, the sudden movement making the moisture in his eyes flood over. As the tear made its way down his cheek he gasped; the door opened revealing Kibum, blood dripping from his fingers, smudged on his shirt, and streaked across his arms and face. However it didn't appear as if Kibum felt any pain as he ran through the open door and knelt down in front of Donghae. Donghae now stared in shock as he saw the blood trailing behind Kibum in little drops until said man now knelt in front of him.

"Hae fishy, you don't understand. I swear to you that--"

"Kibummie, what did you do to yourself?!?"

Kibum looked up at Donghae in confusion until Donghae lifted up the injured palm, making the younger man wince in pain. Donghae gasped in horror as the saw the pieces of glass still embedded in the hand, the blood on them glistening in the moonlight of the window.

"That doesn't matter. Look Hae, I swear that it wasn't what it--"

"What do you mean it doesn't matter!? Come on, we have to get you cleaned up."

Donghae stood up, gingerly pulling at Kibum's hand silently instructing him to do the same. He started walking but Kibum pulled him back with his other hand.

"No Donghae you have to listen to me. You know I would never EVER cheat on you, much less with anyone in this band. I was just--"

Donghae put a stop to the distraught young man's utterances by kissing him. Kibum's shoulders slumped down, the tenseness withering away. Donghae pulled away and led the still dazed Kibum out of the room to the bathroom. He sat his dongsaeng down on the edge of the tub and went to the cabinet to get out the first aid kit.

"Do you really think I would cheat on you? Do you doubt my love in you so much?"

Donghae's eyes widened at the fragileness in that sentence. It was the first time he had ever heard the flirty and self confident Kibum sound so torn. He turned and saw Kibum with his head down, his elbows resting on his knees, his hands dripping the red liquid, staining the white tile.

Donghae knelt down in front of him, opening the first aid kit and placing it on the ground next to his foot. He held the hand that had the gash and began spraying anti bacterial on it. As he heard Kibum hiss in pain he gently blew air on the wound trying to get it to dry faster. He then took one of the Ace wraps and started wrapping it around the palm gently, fastening the silver knobs when he was done. Neither had spoken when he had been taking the glass out of the other hand, and the silence in the room seemed to weigh down on them as he adjusted the silver knobs on the second hand.

Donghae finally looked up at Kibum to see the silent tears trekking down Kibum's cheeks.

"Omo, did I tighten it too much? I'm sorry, let me--"

"You really don't trust me do you?" Kibum said it in a breathy whisper that clearly suggested he was trying not to sob.

Donghae looked up in shock at the younger boy. He stood up and walked to the other side of the bathroom, grabbing a small towel and turning to the sink to dampen it. He then turned back and knelt in front of Kibum once more, who had now taken this as a confirmation to his question and was letting out small cries. Donghae placed his fingers under the younger's chin and lifted his head so they were eye level. He used the towel to gently pat away the blood that had now dried on Kibum's face as well as to wipe away the tear trails. After he was done he placed the towel on the floor and took Kibum's face into his hands.

"I'm sorry. I jumped to conclusions and I obviously hurt you. You know I trust you Kibum, you know I do."

He kissed Kibum's forehead.

"I trust you with my life."

He kissed Kibum's nose.

"I trust you with my soul."

He kissed the corner of Kibum's lips.

"I trust you with my heart."

Before another word could be said between the two Kibum's bandaged hands reached forward and pulled Donghae to him, their lips crashing together making their teeth jar slightly Donghae kissed back with equal fervor, stamping out and soothing the doubt he had put into his boyfriend's head.

---

"So do you want to explain to me why Yesung was on your bed telling you sweet nothings while you were there acting like a shy doe?"

Kibum chuckled and kissed the crown of Donghae's head. There were now cuddled up on the floor of their bedroom between their two beds.

"I was trying to teach him how to flirt. He wanted to confess to Wookie-hyung."

Donghae turned in Kibum's embrace to look at the younger boy eagerly.

"Really?!?"

With a nod from Kibum, Donghae started giggling and squirming.

"Why? What's wrong with you?"

"Wookie wanted to confess to Yesung too! That's why he was really upset when he heard Yesung saying all those things to you. I've been helping him prepare all week."

"Wow, seems that we all kind of screwed things up today nae?"

Donghae giggled again before he remembered an important detail.

"Hey Bummie, where is Yesung now? Wasn't he with you when we ran into the room?"

A perplexed look came onto Kibum's face.

"Yeah, about that. He suddenly left with his turtle, saying something about going to get Ryeowook. But I thought Ryeowook was in the room with you."

Donghae shook his head. "He went out the window a couple minutes after we went in the room."

Both men now looked slightly confused as they wondered what exactly had happened.

---

During this time...

Ryeowook finally managed to finish climbing the fire escape and clambered up to the roof of the complex, the bitter cold stinging his lungs as he tried to catch his breath. He was grateful that he hadn't bothered to take off his coat as he placed his freezing hands in his pockets. He went to the old shed that was on the corner of the roof, one that Yesung had shown him long ago.

He reached for the hidden key on the top ledge of the doorway and placed it into the key hole. He opened the door and silently treaded in, turning the switch that would illuminate the space. He jumped when suddenly the door closed behind him. He turned with wide eyes to see Yesung. Yesung stepped forward from his hiding place and clicked the lock on the door, eyes never breaking contact with Ryeowook.

"Wookie, we need to talk and neither of us is leaving until we do."
