Vanity isn't a sin I'm guilty of. I can't afford to really be vain yet in my life. But I've been accused of it many times.

But dear, you are special. If nothing more because you can and do see past the drama that so many crazy fans create and see the people for just that - people. I've met a few famous people, been friendly with one of them, but I'm always eager to learn more simply because I would love to have those stories, that knowledge of so and so as a real person because they seem like they'd be cool.

Sorry, I'm rambling. Great take on the topic, and well written as always!

I've got a few famous people I've known or am friends with. I don't drop names either and I seldom discuss my relationship with them. In the first place, my relationship with those people wasn't as a celebrity (Dennis Weaver and Burt Reynolds are good examples). They were family friends. Others I've gotten to know through my circulation at conventions. One of them likes to discuss the training methods I used on my service animal. Another tells me about the trips she takes with the money she earns on her illustrations.

They're just people and they're my friends.

: ) I have the exact some attitude about "celebrities". And what's weird is (except for a few that I've met) most of them are so much more friendly and nice than non-celebrities.
