All the porch furniture is inside, all of the trash cans are in the shed, two multipacks of bottled water are in the pantry as are plenty of nonperishable foodstuffs, the dog & cat food has been restocked, storm windows are closed, all electronics are as charged as they are gonna be, all other emergency gear is at the ready (though it always is, ( Read more... )

Heh,I see what you did there :-)

And we will.Just got notice that the public transit in our area is shutting down right about now too.Everyone is taking this pretty seriously, which is good.

Yup, unfortunately, we are. (We live in Southern NJ, outside of Philadelphia. We're near the Delaware River, but NOT along the Atlantic Ocean coastline, which is fortunate as all of those areas had to be evacuated.) And so long as I have power, I will keep LJ posted!
