So I just got back from seeing Deathly Hallows Part 2. The last Harry Potter movie. End of an era, yadda yadda. My overall feeling? Disappointment tbh.

Thanks for the welcome back :P

It really was great to see you again. It's a shame that we couldn't have a proper catch up due to the time. And I'm sorry for the Tina Fey dissing, lol.

Amazing concert, wasn't it? Cyndi made me a very happy person by singing Carey <3

*HUG*

btw, you still use MSN? I would love to talk to you some time.

;)

Yeh, I know. But at least we got to see each other... Hopefully we can have a proper catch up soon. And no problem, not everybody can like her...

It was a brilliant concert. And yes, getting to hear Carey was very special. Loved it!

Well, I'm not on that much anymore coz not that many people are. But, just give me a heads up on here or something and I'll be on. I'd love to have a chat with you :)

Epilogue. Awful, awful, awful. I will never think it was okay.

Exactly. I went to watch the film hoping they would've left it out, but alas, that was not the case.

IMO both parts felt a bit rushed, but I guess that was kind of forseeable, seeing how the book is a bit of a mammoth.

I was so disappointed when I found out they were filming it. So unnecessary.

Yeah, there really was no getting away with it considering the size. I still think some movies (HBP especially) truly misfired when including what was important to the story, but if you separate the movies from the books it's much easier to enjoy them for what they are. i just don't always succeed in doing so.

True.

Yeah, I try to think of them as separate entities as well, but sometimes - especially with things like specific scenes or sub plots that are really important to you - it can be somewhat difficult.

It slowly hitting me that it's done. I got a bit sad when I realised there's going to be no more casting announcements to pick apart and get annoyed with , etc. Such a silly thing to think about. I had my issues with the series, but I really will miss it, heh.

There's always fandom though. I don't see that dying anytime soon :) I think it's time I branch out a bit more.

I went to see Winnie the Pooh instead.

It was wonderful.

I want to see that too. I'm sad that it's not doing so well, but it was kinda silly to put it up against HP.

Was there much Eeyore?

Yes it was, although I didn't even realize Harry Potter was coming out around the same time. The poor performance of the film makes me worry over the future of 2D traditional animation.

The movie was rather balanced in terms of the characters, with Christopher Robin being the exception to that. Considering that much of the film revolves around the characters trying to find him, that's to be expected.

Also, John Cleese is the narrator. So there's that.
