I was reading a policy document at work which used the phrase actual or potential risks.

Which struck me as odd:  what is a potential risk?  Surely something is either a risk or it is not; the size of the risk will vary, but a risk is a risk.

Had a bit of a yucky day yesterday.  Hay fever was plaguing me (and I can't take any of the medications as they all make me feel even worse than I am without them) and I think I got gluted at the weekend.  Not sure what the culprit was - could have been cross-contamination at the local wholefood cafe, or the market stall where I got my gluten-free ( Read more... )

Feels like the tide (of heat, agitation, irritability etc etc) is beginning to go out, thanks to reduction in thyroxine dose.

Still very anxious though.  Well, that was the first symptom to appear and so will presumably be the last to go.

Spoke to my doctor today, who thought my symptoms did suggest mild hyperthyroid, so he's cutting my dose to 75mcg a day.  He said it could take a couple of weeks before I get back to normal, which is a pain, but at least help is on the way.  I've been worse than ever today - abdominal cramps, headache, prickly sensations on my skin, pressure in my ( Read more... )

Beginning to wonder if some, at least, of the

anxiety

agitation

irritability

unpleasantly "revved" feeling

restlessness

difficulty concentrating

even greater than usual sensitivity to noise

that I've been experiencing over the past weeks could be thyroid-related.

My last tests did show my T4 was a bit high.

Still suffering badly from stress.
