There is such a lot of sadness inside me.  I find it hard to face it directly:  I think I'm scared of it.  I think I'm scared because of all those years when I was depressed - scared of going back there.  I know sadness isn't the same thing as depression, and I know that my own depression was largely physically based and now sorted out, but feeling ( Read more... )

Finally got a decent night's sleep last night, and feel much better.

Went out for a couple of hours last night with partner.  Played some pool in a sleepwalking kind of way.  Months since I've played, but I wasn't too bad.

There's a bookshop I pass on my way home from work that has a book in the window called Make your own Contraptions.  Now I know that's what it says -  it's been there for ages - but every time I see it my brain insists on reading it as:

Make your own contraceptives

Which is certainly an amusing idea...

Well, I've successfully completed the first unit of my NVQ.  I think I actually did more work for it than was strictly necessary, but it's hard to tell in advance what they're looking for.

Morning off today.  Will involve the dentist, however:  not so good!
