That Old Familiar Feeling

And, you know, it will be other twists of fate that will land you on your next adventure. I, for one, can't wait to see what it is.

Maybe think more gray area. Look first for any jobs which might keep you in touch with the liquor industry. One of the reasons I took the job at Saladworks was because it fit in well with what I want to do, which is finish my culinary studies and open a restaurant. It's working well because I'm learning the ropes (from a franchising perspective at least) and making good vendor relationships, like with US Food Service. Any chance of scoring something similar on your end? What's corporately (yeah, it could be a word) headquartered near you?

Well there is a chance of scoring a position at one of the distributors in the area. However, I don't know in what capacity. Both firms have that "everyone starts at the bottom" mentality. So I'd likely start as a point of sale guy or sales rep. In either case, there is no compensation for gas (yes, that's right, they make you spend your own money on gas, but you can deduct it). Likely, the routes "at the bottom", are not the best routes and not the most profitable. In other words, I hate to sound spoiled, but I don't wanna make $50K per year, and spend $20K on gas with an MBA for any period of time. Am I wrong ( ... )
