Proximity is the key.

This is a suprisingly optimistic entry, perhaps as rare as the passing of Halley's comet, or Alyssa doing her homework two weeks before the deadline.

I've figured the best way to nullify certain emotions is to bring yourself closer to that object, person or place which triggers such feelings.

Haha. Actually, I think it makes extra sense that I was on drugs when I wrote this entry, because I had two bottles of beer that night, but with no intention of temporarily blocking any negative feelings, as you put it. Anyway, that's out of the question. :P Nothing's changed, though; aside from the stress brought about by the sight of piles of unfinished schoolwork on my desk, I still feel incredible. Reading how much you loved this entry made me smile; I never thought it'd be able to leave such an impression on anyone. I guess I'm beginning to realize for sure that true happiness isn't in having everything that you want. Thanks for your kind words and advice.

I feel this entry Aly. I'm actually guilty of getting and wanting to be close to those I detest. For some reason I can't explain, I believe it makes me feel better. It's weird because they are the ones who usually hurt me the most, and yet whenever we get to be with each other or get close, they make me happy. Is it possible to love and hate a person at the same time? (you don't have to answer this HAHA)

Nairita ako dyan sa one-sided na yan ha! BAHALA SILA. >.< Nairita ako kasi feeling ko totoo nga. Ay naku.

However...bitterness can also be resolved by proximity, but only after a long period of assessing the whos, whats, wheres, whens and whys; your mistakes, and perhaps theirs. Wounds should always be given some time to heal. Heat should be vented in appropriate places, instead of being let out in front of innocent people who are scorched and fixable situations which are ruined needlessly.^ Couldn't agree more ( ... )

Haha, maybe it lessens the paranoia.

And yeah, I guess ambivalence happens all the time. Negativity has a way of making things more interesting.

Good one Aly!, i'm putting this in my memories. :) I

Wow, thanks. 0_o

Or in the case of one-sided relationships, proximity can make you want that person even more, thus filling you with bitterness borne out of unrequited feelings, and, in the end, making you emo. HAHAHAHAHA

Ack. Are you reading my mind? :|
