a writer can only listen, and, while this is gut-wrenching and horrible and the stuff of nightmares, it's also extremely well written and a classic example of a true horror story.

Well done, but a part of me wishes I had not decided to read it. What a heartbreak!

Thank you! Yes, when the muse strikes, and it's inspired, one cannot ignore it.

It is a true horror story, yes. Because that's what a true horror story is. Its not just about the psycho who goes after you in your home that you don't know. But the one who you've known and trusted for so long.

this was pretty damn good. I really enjoyed this. It's like a Steven King or Dean Koontz short story.

In a perfect world, Justin would have gotten over his PTSD with the help of Brian.

In my world, he never really did because this is real life.

Maybe it's all the "Shutter Island" previews that are out there cluttering up my mind... but I can see a trip to a Hospital for the Criminally Insane in Justin's future.

If not, can the voices please do something about Hunter? That kid irritates me to no end!

Oh, and now - since it was mentioned in other comments - I'm going to read Justin's Baby...
