I'm 26 today. But I'm livin' like I'm 18! I went out to see some bands last night at the Empty Bottle. Drank 312 Goose Island Urban Wheat Ale, slept on the couch in Isaac's apt, woke up at 7:30 to come home and get ready for work. And my birthday breakfast was left over pizza and Christmas Morning Black tea. And chocolate! Go me. I am so cool

My unproductive day lead me to a comforting night with Isaac. We shared Stefano's deep dish with my roommate, listened to music, watched film of Glenn Gould playing Bach, ventured out in Isaac's shitty saab back to his place to listen to him play music while i read poetry, then letting me play with his weighted keyboard. I want a piano.

Still depressed. Still uninspired. Still angry. Still alone. Still unmotivated. My new manager is a bit annoying. Today I watched a bunch of episodes of Pete & Pete. I started at a new store in the loop yesterday. Working downtown is quite odd, but fun. It definitely has it's perks, but I'm not quite loving it yet after day 2. I do love that I'm done by 7 and can actually talk and see people socially after work. I had some goals last year that I wanted to accomplish. Let's take a look see at what i've done.

• Get back into shape: So far, I bought a bike, lost about 15 lbs, and 2 full dress sizes. I'm much stronger and can feel myself regaining muscle tone. Still more to go, but I'm off to a good start.
