Some photos from our Sunday at Faria Beach, as well as a few from the Christmas Break.
Brady looking at a starfish clinging to a rock. The tide pool was full of starfish and teeny little crabs, but Christine also found a sea urchin and a sand dollar.

Coachella's Saturday lineup is amazing.

Coachella pales in comparison with SXSW. Do you ever get a chance to make it to any of the shows? Some day...

The photojournalism teacher in me would give you high marks for excellent use of the rule-of-thirds. Brady is in the left third of the frame, and the horizon is hinting towards the top third. He also is framed by the line of clouds along the top edge of the photo and the words on the sand lead the eye right towards him. There's some pretty harsh backlighting, but that's to be expected when you live in California and you're pointing your camera at the ocean in the afternoon. Brady-and-starfish is also very well composed. I also like the Disneyland picture. Catherine's face shows genuine emotion. Speaking from experience, it's tough to get a good shot when you are actually riding one of those attractions. We're going down to Florida in a couple of weeks, so I'll try to do the same thing when we ride Dumbo. Catherine and the Christmas tree is also well-done. You obviously didn't use a flash, yet you still got excellent clarity and focus.
Great pictures.
