If it's Christmas, I must be in...

Dec 23, 2006 14:31

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas in Michigan, although it looks like a gray, drizzly one will have to do. It matters not, though, since I'm with the family for double-digit days consecutively for the first time since September. I'm content in a way I haven't been in a long time, which is the best Christmas present for which I could possibly have ( Read more... )

I know that you've been having a lot of self doubt stemming from California, but I just wanted to tell you that I really think it speaks volumes about your parenting ability that you are able to put Catherine and Brady first. I don't think I am wording it the way that I want to, but what I am trying to say is that you are truly a wonderful father and I hope that you are aware of that.

I hope that you have a very Merry Christmas and that your quality time with the family is amazing in every way.

Thanks so much, Mallory. I wish I shared your confidence about my parenting ability, but hopefully time will prove it was the right decision. (There's actually a few additional details upon which I'll elaborate when I'm on a non-work-owned computer that lend support to the conclusion we reached.)

The quality time is going swimmingly with the exception of the post-Christmas Crank-a-Thon in which the Weestaks have been engaged. Catherine wants you to know she's the proud owner of an American Girl doll, and the whole family extends our best holiday wishes to you and yours!

I hope all goes well with your new setup and I, too, am impressed with your parenting. Have the very best Christmas EVER EVER EVER. Until next year, natch.

Thanks, dear. I'm still waiting for our Google uber-lords to design a search engine algorithm that just makes decisions like this for your, but until then I'll continue to wing it and hope for the best.

A *hugs*/*grope* combo to wish you a Happy New Year!

I'm sure that was a difficult decision to make but I think you made the right choice. Merry Christmas!

Aw, slee. How long do you think this latest arrangement will be in place? Courage, comrade!

Have a good double digit Christmas with C. and the Weestaks! Soak it up, and take it with you to keep you going when you need some fuel to keep going.

Miss you,
Lisa

P.S. Are you ever on chat anymore? I almost never am, but maybe we can bump into each other soon...

Courage and friendship will get me through this, so thanks on both accounts! I can't talk about the time frame just yet, but shall do so before too long.

Wow, it went by fast! I'm off to Illinois for the week on Tuesday, and then to Canada for two weeks. After that, though, the arrangement begins in earnest.

I miss you, too, Lisa. A lot. :(

I'm not around chat much, but would LOVE to catch up if you have some time next week.
