As much as I loved the results of the midterms, I couldn't even take pleasure from THAT because of the fear that the Dems really have no idea what to do next. (Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi seem like Katharine Ross and Dustin Hoffman at the end of The Graduate - simultaneously elated and terrified of the future.)
I'm sorry to have had company in 2006 misery, but maybe we can find a way to make 2007 the coolest year of the century. Saaaaaaaaaaa-lute!
I'm sorry that your 2006 was balls as well, but perhaps we can make a group project out of turning 2007 into a good (or at least non-sucky) year. I'll do my part by frequently posting about how much I miss my family (and occasionally about the "indie rock" to which the kids like to listen.)

2006 can't kiss my ass enough, but this year doesn't seem all that bad so far. Heck, I'm cautiously optimistic! (knock on wood)

Let's hope that in '07 we can all see vast improvements in the various shitty areas of our lives. In the name of all that is good and holy.

But if there are any bad patches, know that I'm always willing to give your ego a boost by telling you what an amazing chick you are. For reals, yo.
