One of my fascinations is the US political process. Given the USA's disproportionate impact on global socio-economic factors, some knowledge of their politics is important. Beyond that, much like watching a train wreck, it's impossible to look away.

Now, I’ll admit, being more of a Socialist, I don’t hold much truck with Capitalism, however, I can see it’s advantages.

I attend Postmortem DESPITE it being a bit too mainstream for me (needs more prog and doom and UKMU). I've attended for quite some time, partially to support the local community, and partially as it's a good chance to see a lot of my friends.
