meh, it'll grow out again.
anyway, i know a number of guys who shave for various reasons if it helps you feel better--disgust at being harry, wind resistance for triathlons, and just liking how it feels.

I'm pretty lazy and shave mine maybe every 3 months. I can do this amazing hairy behemoth thing -- it's great.

There's also this fun trick you can do about 2 days after you shave...wait until he's asleep for about 10min then run your shin over his leg. He'll be like WTF PRICKLY HELL IS THAT. Then, wildly exclaim, "I DID IT FOR YOUUUUU."

I started shaving mine because I was getting teased relentlessly in fifth grade :-( I kept doing it because I've developed a minor phobia of hair that may or may not be related to my trich and I don't really want to devote the time or money to a therapist to figure out whether that's true. Anyway, it means I start to panic midly if I get stubbly.

But yeah, the great thing about hair is that it always grows back if you don't like the cut! And guys do have their own weird hair societal norms about body hair, like chest and back hair. Except I think that might be more dependent on the age group and part of the country and suchlike, whereas the leg thing is more widespread. Lame.

...now my legs itch.

In Basic, one of the things that the females have to suffer is very very rarely ever getting to shave their legs. Some instructors will let the female trainees shave their legs and wear skirts in the last week of training (either the entire flight wears slacks or they all wear skirts; they have to be uniform with each other in Basic) when we wear our Blues, but some will even make them go the entire last week of training and not let them shave their legs until graduation day ( ... )
