beware: self-loathing ahead.

I feel like absolute shit. I haven't felt this frustrated about life in general since the summer. Work is driving me up the wall. I walk in to either job everyday and I literally hate everyone who walks through the door that I have to wait on. I'm sick of trying to sell people things they don't need. I'm sick of working 40 hours a week and getting ( Read more... )

Don't think less of yourself for not holding a degree-required job right now. It's not your fault that Michigan (and pretty much all of the US) has such a shitty economy right now!

Have you ever considered moving out of state? I know it's a rash decision to make, but maybe you should start applying for jobs out west or somewhere you think you'd enjoy living. I could definitely see you living in NYC or Seattle, maybe.

I hope things get better. I should be on later tonight... maybe we can chit chat!

I know, sometimes I still think it's OK that I don't have a "real" job yet. It hasn't been that long since I graduated, and plus it's not like I'm sitting on my ass doing nothing. But sometimes, it really does get to me.

I've considered moving out of state, but I don't think I could ever actually do it unless somehow I got an amazing job offer that I'd be stupid to turn down. I really don't want to leave my family, and I really don't want to raise a family of my own without my parents/grandparents around. In all honesty, big cities aren't for me. I love to visit, I love an adventure, but a place where I want to raise my kids includes being able to see the stars at night. =) I really, really love it up here in northern michigan. It's where I want to be, I just want a job to match!

thanks, brian. ♥

Eh the job hurt is still going... I have a job, it pays money but it's not fantastic. It's better than nothing but I'm still looking... What about you?

Things with Jason are good! Busy with the holidays and all now... Never enough time!

I know, I need to update more =/

You should sell jewelry. It's seriously the most fun job I've ever had, and you'd be really good at it!!!

I really, really want to get out of retail. I know it's not the same thing, selling jewelry, but still. Pier 1 has taught me that I'm NOT a very good salesperson. hah.

that's actually the wonderful part about premier. You don't actually even really talk about peices themselves... You have the ladies do a fashion show and they say why they like the piece... They sell it themselves! It's awesome! haha... I love my job, cause I literally go to people's house, have fun, do a 20 min presentation which is really just 4 games, meet thier friends ans fam, they buy stuff that makes them feel good for not too much money and then the hostess gets like $200 in free jewelry and I go home. It's awesome. =) And I get paid that night and make 50% of everything I sell. The jewelry comes straight to the hostess so I don't have any inventory. It's the best job I've ever had. =)

I'm sorry Jeka. :( You shouldn't let yourself get so worried or stressed out about a job. It's just a temporary stage you are in right now, and stressing about it won't make a job position open up any faster.

I think you should just take a day or two off for yourself, and just let yourself completely relax. Don't make any plans or set up any obligations - just go where you want to and do what you want to. Sometimes having a complete day by yourself and enjoying the world around you can be just what the doctor ordered.

Hope you are feeling better soon! If you need someone to talk to, you know I'm always here for you. :)

This weekend will help, I'm going downstate to see my family & Dave & do lots of Christmas-y things. And I have Friday-Tuesday off, so it'll be good.

I can't wait to see yooooooou. I will hopefully be home for Christmas & stuff December 22-29. That's what I'm planning on, I just hope both jobs will let me have it. =/

thanks kamsk<3333
