Everyone is right.... do what makes you happy. Dusty's right that a degree from UF looks awesome.... but you can get that same degree at UNF for much less of a hassle. When you start all the Core Ed. classes, you have to intern at different places. It'd be a lot easier if you were at UNF and then you could intern at a school that you're familiar at or at least in an area you're familiar with. I was thinking about going down to UCF or Flagler for a long time. I did a bit of research and I decided on the best school that would suite my needs. Not many school have good education programs, espically for my major, Special Education. Do what makes you happy and what is the best for your future. It's up to you.

we're all young and you're not expected to know what your permanent goal for the future is right now. everything's changing right now...and you're really in a transition period...so all the thoughts you have right now can change dramatically in a short period of time...and basing a huge life changing move on a may be fleeting emotion could be potentially really bad. Not that this whole thing really is just a fleeting thing...who know's math may be your calling. I'm just saying...don't be rash because you just don't like UF...you can still get a math degree and teach ( ... )

Honestly? Leave UF. it'll be exciting! But in no way do I support you moving back to OP. Make sure that you aren't moving back here because it feels safe, i know that I concidered it, and for me it was an awful idea. I have a thought for you, at least concider it: UCF has a great education program, I should know, I was in it. It would be far enough away from home, you would already have friends there, and it would be close to g-ville. Whatever you decide, make sure that you are doing this for the right reasons. I have found that the wrong reasons are fear, uncertainty, love(or like), and laziness (not that you are lazy). I do understand the need for a change of scenery, though. It's your life, make of it what you will!
