The flat I live in came sort of partially furnished.  This means old bits of furniture were abandoned by previous tenants and I've not chucked them out.  This included a hoover (or vacuum, in North American).  It packed it up and died on Saturday.  I wasn't having any of it.  It was the day before Chinese New Year.  The last chance to clean away ( Read more... )

Hot water bottles.  Saving my life at the moment. Much cheaper than keeping the heat on the whole time and super-comfy-cozy.  Plus, they have the cutest sweaters on.

Foot still broken.  Still can't leave the house.  It's tiring just to get from one room to the next - and it's a really small flat!  I've missed two big events this week, which really bums me out.

I miss people.

The fine folks at Kelmscott House will have to celebrate the 175th anniversary of William Morris' birthday without me.  If Mr. Gaiman is around, he'll miss the pleasure of my company on Sunday.  Work must do without me.

I've fractured the fifth metatarsal on my right foot.

hmm, obviously I need to move more.  I had two outstanding days, one hideous day.  blah.  I'll have to find more opportunities ot get walking, jogging and just plain moving about.  Sunday was my downfall - must remember to leave the house on Sunday's.
