The truth is, it was no great love story.

But when I was in it, I don't think anyone could have convinced me otherwise.

But that's fine, isn't it? I don't think it's necessarily wrong to believe in something even when other people don't. It's oversimplifying, but often there is no right & wrong in love. Or it is a great love story even if it's not the sort you wished for it to be.
