saving for a house & wedding is NOT easy. Even when you have familiy helping pay for the wedding.

It is very stressful.

When are you guys looking to get married?

june 21, 2008. yes its soooo stressful, i dont really have much help. justins parents want to but they dont have a lot to spare and my mom wont give crap. we dont even talk. my dad would with whatever he can. so we are shooting for a small wedding, nothing tooo fairybook but something that we will both like and enjoy. and then get a nice house. he is more focused on the house im focused on preparing. cuz with school im not going to have a lot of planning time. ugh. idk. haha

That is how Anth & I are...he is more concerned about the house, and I'm more concerned about the wedding...it balances out.

When we first got engaged, I had this HUGE thing built up in my mind, but once you start pricing things, you realize that the only way you can spend that much on a wedding is if you win the lottery. So I toned it down a lot, and decided I was much happier saving money. That way we could have a nicer house, too. Truly, I think it's more important that we have a nice house than a big huge wedding, but I don't want a little crappy wedding, either.

As long as you are creative and you use the resources you have handy, you can totally have a beautiful, intimate wedding for like, $3000.

Anyway, have fun planning! :)
