so dexter's funeral, it was something. i hadn't planned on going, but the wake had me feeling so down, i thought some aspects of the funeral, such as a eulogy, or even just talking more with some old friends, might make me feel better. well, you can't beat old friends for cheer factor, so i was right, except for the fact that there was no eulogy of ( Read more... )

yeah, that's the way i felt at amy's. i guess they just see the way people there are dressed and they just assume they need to save some souls. it's kind of insulting.
was CJ there?

I don't remember Amy's memorial all that well, but I guess I've experienced that at a few funerals. This one went WAY further with it than I've ever seen, though.
The main problem that I had was the almost total lack of remembering Dexter. I've never seen anything like that.
CJ wasn't there. There actually weren't many people there that I thought would be. I think there were probably between 15-20 people there that were from school, but I knew fewer than 10 of them.

That's pretty infuriating.

I'm so mad that I'm speechless. How could they possibly do that?

figures...that's why I was so pissed off at Kara's service...they did the same thing...blah blah blah, God loves everyone....preach preach...oh yeah, Kara would feel this way too if she were here...blah blah blah...it made me want to puke.
Also, when my father was passing in the hospital, they sent in a chaplin to read a passage...and it was a holy rolling baptist minister..."praise jesus" really loud, like eighty times. I swore I saw a smile on his face, cause it was just ridiculous.

and now I'm confused, cause everyone said the service was "beautiful". well, the word didn't seem right anyway.

Well, I guess you could call it beautiful. Some parts of it were nice and even appropriate, like the Ozzy song.
My main issue with it was the lack of focus on Dexter. I wanted to hear some rememberance of him.

I wasn't sure what anyone else's opinion was. I didn't really talk to anyone about it except Nate. He didn't seem too bothered by it, but that's how he is, I guess.
