not really, but i'm way too excited about this:

seriously, james gandolfini voicing a big hairy monster with horns on his head from a book i loved as a child is way too cool...almost as cool as when he did this:

The last I heard about this movie was that they were going to reshoot almost the entire movie(with or without Spike Jonze) to make it less scary for children. Hopefully someone got his head out of his ass and this didn't happen but I doubt it.

everything i've read about says that after sending kids home crying during the first test screening they gave spike jonze more money to shoot more and edit more...the film is going to wind up being a compromise between him and the studio but hopefully it won't totally suck...i just want it to be at least as good as the trailer.

That is similar to what I heard but the difference being that they wanted him to change a fuck load of the film and if he didn't do it they were going to find someone who would. That was a long ass time ago though so I don't really know what happened between then.

there were plenty of scaryish kid movies when i was growing up...kids should get scared from time to time...its character building.
