the aughts are coming to a close and after reading pitchfork's top twenty albums i feel i should make my own. music has increasingly become an important thing in my life...i may not be able to make it like i would like to (being untrained and talentless) but i do listen to a ton of different things and feel my opinion is relevant at least to myself ( Read more... ) -

1.)new busdriver album in june...hopefully the leak is just a few weeks (or less) away
2.)amy hempel reading on saturday
3.)rolcats...russian lolcats...i never knew i needed it...but i do.
you barely need a background in russian literature (i say since i have a very tiny one) to find it funny...

why does every conversation with my mother end with me wanting to leave the country?
or at least the state.
my whole family went to one of these moronic tea parties at the capital building in austin today to protest their taxes being lowered i guess...i've never seen a tax cut greeted with such hatred...of course anyone with at least one and a half brain cells can understand that these rallies (composed almost completely of white ( Read more... ) -
licorice
its not often that someone actually sucks more than me when it comes to singing and guitar but this guy has managed to make me look like a rock star:
i do have a similar bad habit where i just say "something, something, something" through parts where i'm not totally sure what the words are...but what's with the licorice thing? -
