Especially if some of the stories my 3 brothers tell are true. Fortunately, I was already out of the house (and sometimes even out of the country) by the time they were all teenagers. : )
I only watch the Superbowl if Green Bay is in it - so I don't have to watch all that often. :)
They all actually brought food with them. I give my son this - I told him it would be nice if his friends brought something AND THEY DID! ANDDD I actually still have some of the snacks left!
My sanity? Not so much. But then again, I think that's been gone for a while now.
As the mother of boys (who are now in their early twenties) I have to agree with you. I have always kept the door open to their friends. It's nice to know who their friends are and I have enjoyed watching the way they interact.
It's been the same since they were teenagers and their friends all know that they are welcome here. Yes they eat a lot but I figure that's a small price to pay for the extended family that we now seem to have.
(But once they were settled then I'd be hiding with you!)
HEE- I knew they'd eat alot. I'm no fool. Or maybe I am but at least a fool who knows that teenage boys eat ALOT! I give them this - they all brought something to eat. Or I give their moms this - they were all MADE to bring something to eat.
I keep trying to get my husband to understand- I'd rather have him here with his friends than out and doing who the hell knows. I would think my husband would understand that- he was out and doing who the hell knows what when he was a kid and he found ALOT of trouble.
Oh, and FYI-- they never really settled down!! It wasn't bad. But it wasn't good either!
Oh I knew they'd eat alot. I'm nuts but not stupid. They all brought snacks - shock, yes! But they all brought something. AND I still have a lot of the snacks left because I made more food.
It was interesting. It didn't royally suck. But it was 7 teenage boys in my den. But in that den we have the TV for the game. Then we have a TV for the Xbox. And one for the Wii. And one for the Playstation... shit- no wonder they all come here!!!
