I accomplished one of my life goals last weekend. I saw Neil Young play and it was amazing.

Last week I was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and I graduated magna cum laude from Temple University. This fall I am going to Lehigh University on a full-tuition scholarship and have been given a $16,000 research assistantship stipend.

In 42 minutes, I am leaving to begin my third day as a prep cook and dishwasher.

I'm leaving for my last final at Temple in a few minutes. I have mixed emotions about moving on. I love Philadelphia, and I don't know how bad it will hurt to not live here anymore. I am also leaving behind my most of my best friends. Between Sara and Jess and Lew and Adam and Will, I am moving away from some of the people that mean the most to me ( Read more... )

I haven't updated in a very long time. This week has been absolute hell. I spent 15 hours in the computer lab yesterday and 6 or 7 today, and I am not finished with our GIS group project. I have a draft due tomorrow at 3. The end is nowhere in sight. Eh.

I just brewed my first batch of beer. Its called Troops' Tipple, and if the the specific gravity readings are correct, it should be about 5.5% abv. Now it needs to ferment for about 7 days, and then I prime it with sugar and bottle condition for 2-3 weeks. class have started. i think this is the first semester that i have felt absolutely no anxiety or even excitement about new classes. i feel like this is a continuation of last semester. maybe that will change when i go to ambler for Urban Crime Patterns tonight. we'll see.i am taking 18 credits, but i only am in class five times a week. i feel bored ( Read more... )
