For some reason, he’d got it into his head that he wanted something better than that for Jack’s visit. Well, for Jack. Something clean and soft, something no one else had ever slept in but them. To Ennis, having that new bed was as necessary as putting out fresh water and fresh straw in each stable. It just had to be done, simple as that.

I was blown away by the cuteness and sweetness and hot sharp dialogue of their seeing each other again, so wonderful.

But here, he’d allowed himself to want somethin’, to need somethin’, and it just didn’t feel right until he’d welcomed his somethin’ good and proper. I loved this too and I'm so glad Jack picked up on it

I've missed you, too. I find writing to be a lonely thing sometimes. Unfortunately for me, due to my crazy schedule, free time is so precious, every spare chance I get I have to devote to writing. No time to even read some of the other amazing stories out there, comment in the forums, nothing. Just me writing, pushing myself until I can post something, then I can be with you all again, then away I go to write some more.

such a pleasure to see a new installment, and such a sweet and hot one too. i like how ennis needed to show jack the trappings of his new life, to share all of himself. i thought the love scene was really hot. and the idea that ennis wanted a new bed to share with jack, so he bought a new bed but didn't use it until jack arrived is outstanding.
