Might I recommend throwing in the marvellous Zuse? I thought he was quite amazing and possibly very not dead. As if that sort of person/program has no plan B when stuck in a room rigged with bombs.
Either way it's awesome to hear you're planning a sequel! I'll be eagerly anticipating its arrival. :D

I... have plans re: Zuse. Not generally done plans. Basically I have some headcanon regarding him and how things worked there that is somewhat atypical. And probably won't play out for awhile (there may be minor stuff in the immediate sequel, but it'd be best in a story after that, with more of the cast on-Grid).
Suffice to say that if I ever write all the stuff I theoretically want to write... he'll be at least mentioned.
