I was lucky enough to score two tickets to the sneak peek of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince last night. Bryan and I dropped the boys off, got stuck in traffic getting there but actually made it in time to get seats. We decided to skip dinner and go straight to the theater just in case. I enjoyed the movie. Bryan. . . not so much. He liked ( Read more... )

I've made a topsy turvy cake. Not too difficult--you'd do fine:)

Jealous over you getting a sneak peak at HP. I'm going at midnight tomorrow. And then I have to work Wednesday morning at the store 30 miles away...I was going to take the day off, but a tech is coming and I have no choice:(

I cant wait to hear what you think about it! Having to go to work the next morning sucks though.

I really do want to make a topsy turvy cake but I have no use for THAT much cake. What size layers should I do a smallish one? I have 8in and 6in pans. Would two layers look ok? My friend Alysia said I can make one then freeze the left overs. I told her I'm making one for her daughters birthday in August and she can deal with the leftovers. lol Nobody in my house really eats cake.

The one I made was two layers. Larger than yours, I think I used 12 in and 8 in. But I don't think it would matter. The only piece of advice for you is don't cut a really defined angle on the cake...the top edge of my cake fell off!

1. read the book (it is delicious)
2. hp6 is very much an...inbetween book...
3. im certain a LOT was cut out because it had to be and the reason why hp7 will be split into two movies (oh the agony!) is so things aren't left out. and it would be awesome if nothing could be left out of the movies but then all of them would be 2 or 3 parters.
4. im very much looking forward to seeing hp6 this friday :D
5. the theater i went to the summer i interned at anl was a dinner/theater place. and you could get alcohol, food...pretty much anything. and the prices were actually pretty reasonable, especially since we got into the movie for free.
6. say hi to rose for me.

I do plan to read them. It's just not going to happen any time soon. I have a whole list of books that I want to read and it keeps growing. I just added more too it today. I think I just dont have any motivation to read Harry Potter. I'm half way through the third book. But I know how it ends and that makes it a little difficult for me to read them.

I cant wait to see the next one!

I hope you enjoy it!

I remember you posting about that theater. That's a neat concept.

I will!

I saw Mrs. Russo today. She looks totally different! I didnt recognize her!
